Donner Lake Inn Donner Lake Inn Every room at the inn pairs a queen bed with Twin XL bunks — full 80-inch beds, not kid furniture — so a family of four or a ski crew fits in one room without anyone drawing the short straw. Four rooms are our standard Deluxe Suite (sleeps 4); the fifth is the Superior Suite, with a triple bunk for families of five.
All five are ground-floor, cabin-style rooms with their own exterior door. There's no lobby to cross and no elevator to wait for — you park, walk three steps, and you're home.
The inn's standard room, and the one most guests book: a queen up front, a double Twin XL bunk along the wall, and the gas stove between them keeping everything warm. Good for couples, families of four, or two friends who'd both rather have a real bed.
Deluxe Suites are also the rooms with the built-in window seat — a reading perch with forest views that guests fight over politely.

The biggest room at the inn, and the only one of its kind: a queen bed plus a three-high Twin XL bunk. If you have three kids — or two kids and a grandparent, or a five-person ski team — this is the room that means you don't book two.
Same formula as the rest of the inn: private entrance, gas stove, en-suite bathroom, and parking a few steps from the door. There's only one, and it goes first on holiday weekends.
